Dear Neighbor,
As we all know, these are difficult economic times and there’s no easy answer to a national recession. However, I believe if we make wise and prudent decisions, we can emerge stronger on the other side.
Three years ago, you elected me to the County Commission based on a set of priorities that I laid out.
I am proud to say that most have been accomplished or are in the works, including:
- Balancing the budget through spending cuts, not by raising taxes
- Fighting for the infrastructure that will now bring high tech jobs near Medical City.
- Working to bring a job training center to District 2 to develop and assist small businesses in Osceola County(Business Incubator)
- Chairing a Health Care Task Force that has created a grant program to help the uninsured.
If you think it’s important for our elected officials to keep their word and if you agree with the priorities I’ve
outlined for the next four years, I ask for your vote on November 2nd.
Thank you for your consideration. It would be my honor to continue serving the citizens of Osceola
County.
Sincerely,
John Q Quinones
1.Bring the new higher paying bio-medical
jobs to Osceola County by building on the Medical City "anchors."
(UCF Medical School, The Burnham Institute, VA Clinic, etc)
2. Hold the line on taxes and balance the budget
By streamlining government and cutting waste.
3. Keep public safety a priority
By adequately funding sheriff and fire department and protect programs aimed at "at risk" youth.
4. Enhance our quality of life
By preserving our natural resources, protecting our schools and roads from overcrowding and building community pride. |
