November 22, 2006 Malachi 1: 1, 6-14 Psalm 65 My Thoughts: The Lord told Malachi that since He was no longer honored or revered He would make Himself great among the gentiles: Not just Israel but all nations. Their disobedience became our blessing. Now we are the royal priesthood of the Living God and we must remember to give Him the honor and praises due His name. We no longer bring blood sacrifices before Him because His Son Jesus was the final perfect sacrifice. No other blood need be shed to pay the penalty of sin. Now we present our bodies to Him as a living sacrifice, which is acceptable to God and our reasonable service of worship to Him. Today's Challenge: Do you really believe you are chosen by God? I have trouble believing this sometimes, but know this: Whether we believe it or not does not make it any less true. Believe it today. Say to yourself throughout the day, "God chose me, I am known by God." (Gal. 4:9). See if this truth doesn't make a difference in how you live out your day. Prayer: Oh Lord, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth. Accept our bodies as a sacrifice to your praise. Be glorified in us we pray. Amen.
